However, the implementation process is costly and time consuming, and thus requires careful planning and organization. If successfully implemented, ERP systems provide many benefits to those organizations that adopt them.

On the other hand, if the implementation process is not successful, the venture can prove costly. By examining the existing literature on this topic, this paper focuses on how ERP systems can be successfully implemented in organization and the critical success factors. The information provided in this paper may be used to guide organizations in the implementation of ERP systems. Proceedings of the Second International Conference . Annamalai Chockalingam. Morteza Moalagh.

Implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning systems ERPs is a complex and costly process, which usually results in serious failures. On the other hand, most studies have been devoted to developed countries, while in developing countries, many companies have moved towards using such systems.

But developing countries, which mostly confront with especial challenges, have a different condition from the implicit assumptions of leading countries.

Iran is one of these countries that many of its ERP implementation projects led to failure. The main purpose of this study is to identify such factors and classify them to help other industries, consultants and implementers to prevent failures in the implementation of ERP projects. So, at first, with the semi structured interviews and literature reviews, 47 failure factors were identified. Robust Exploratory Factor Analysis EFA has been used for data analysis, which finally classified critical failure factors in seven groups named as vendor and consultant, human resources, managerial, project management, processes, organizational and technical.

The results of this study have provided a very useful reference for scholars and managers to identify the relevant issues of ERP projects failure in developing countries. Toni Somers. An important problem in probabilistic description is to understand who are the key players, which activities associated with enterprise system implementations are important, and when their effect is most prevalent across the IT development stages.

Using an information theory approach, we analyze the fit between their importance, as noted in the current literature, and the experiences reported by a cross-section of organizations that completed an enterprise system implementation experience. Our results suggest that the early literature- and case-based research on enterprise systems does not take into account the importance of several key variables. James Bonde. IOSR Journals.

Toqeer Ahmed. People dwelling in different cities of the Potohar region, Pakistan, are mostly dependent on surface water for drinking and domestic use.

In an attempt to make available potable, safe water, filtration plants were constructed along with dams in the Potohar region. Water samples from these filtration plants were collected and analyzed for total and faecal coliform bacteria as well as for total viable count.

Results showed that bacterial indicators of faecal contamination were numerous and significantly greater than World Health Organization recommended guidelines. Accordingly, antibacterial activity of methanolic and aqueous extracts of different parts of Solanum surrattense were assessed in vitro against waterborne pathogens.

These results suggest that plants offer a great potential for purification of drinking water that needs to be explored further because fruit extract of the aforementioned plant can be of practical use against waterborne pathogens. An attempt was made to control waterborne pathogens by using medicinal plant extracts. One hundred and twenty-six water samples from filtration plants, tube wells, and water supplies were collected and analyzed for total and faecal Coliform bacteria as well as for total viable count.

Results showed that waterborne pathogens were numerous and significantly higher than the World Health Organization's recommended guidelines. The methanolic and aqueous extracts of different parts of Colebrookia oppositifolia Labiateae were examined for antibacterial activities in vitro by an agar diffusion method. Antibacterial activity of leaves, shoots, and roots of Colebrookia oppositifolia was assessed against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria that were isolated and identified from water samples by the API 20E method.

Extract of roots showed more antibacterial activities against Staph. The lowest MIC minimum inhibitory concentration and MBC minimum bactericidal concentration were observed in roots as compared to shoots and leaves.

These results suggest that there is an urgent need for improvement in existing water quality treatment. Secondly, the fruit extract can be practical for protection and to avoid risk of contamination by waterborne pathogens and to promote indigenous solutions for disease-control and environmental management.

Food and medicinal plants have been used for centuries against human diseases. The methanolic and aqueous extracts of different parts of Ocimum bacillicum Lam. Niazboo or Sweet basil of family Lamiaceae were investigated in vitro for their antibacterial properties against waterborne pathogens.

The antibacterial properties of different parts of Ocimum bacillicum samples were assessed against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, which were isolated from water samples and identified by the API 20E method. The extracts from leaves and seeds of Ocimum bacillicum showed more antibacterial activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and E. The lowest minimum inhibitory concentrations and minimum bactericidal concentrations were observed for leaves and seeds as compared to other parts of the plant.

No activity of alum was observed against the tested bacterial strains. The seeds of Ocimum bacillicum were associated with higher coagulation activity in comparison to other parts of the plant and were comparable with alum.

These results suggest that parts of a plant offer a potential for antimicrobial treatment of drinking water, but needs further exploration. Riem M. Hamdi AbdelAzim. Igor Balaban. Daniel Chao. Ray, If you are a professional working in the corporate world, or a management student or someone from the so called IT world, then sometimes you had already heard this term "ERP".
